Executive Committee Letter
May, 1979

To: General Councilors, Society Presidents, and Field Representatives

Irene and I spent a delightful week-end, April 28-29, at Oklahoma City. We enjoyed a carry-in dinner and fellowship on Saturday evening and excellent discussions at the study group meeting on Sunday Evening.

A Number of people from the Dallas Fellowship also came to visit. We are pleased that they have sent the Charter Committee all of the formal requirements for charter application. It is their hope to be granted a charter and be installed on or before June 16.

We are looking forward to the installation service of the Urantia Society of Central Connecticut on May 12. A number of people from the Chicago area plan to attend.

John Hales reported on his attendance at the Mid-Atlantic Conference for Urantia Book Readers in Washington, D.C., April 28. Some fifty students enjoyed a day of study and fellowship, hearing presentations by Dan Massey, Neal Waldrop, and Daniel Glazer, followed by small group discussions. John also had time to visit Peter Sarfaty who is now hospitalized in Washington for further treatment of his cancer. He is in good spirits and Susan was able to bring him to the Saturday conference. You can contact Peter at: Veterans Administration Medical Center, Oncology Branch, 2c North, 50 Irving St., N.W., Wash., D.C. 20422.

Christy reports that she has received only nine responses with recommendations for the nomination of Brotherhood officers and departmental committee members. If you have suggestions, please get them to her.

We should like to extend our best wishes to the Boulder gathering for fellowship on May 26-27 and to the Midwest Conference at Indianapolis on June 9-10.

Cordially,

Meredith J. Sprunger, President

MJS/MTR
