 Urantia BROTHERHOOD BULLETIN
Jan. 26, 1968

During 1967 the number of Urantia Books sold (and presented to libraries as gifts) was 1,106 -- 393 more than in 1966. This brings the total number of books being read all over the world to 9,176. There are about 200 of the first edition left. We expect to have the second printing before this supply is exhausted.

The Committee on Education announces that a two-day study session will be held in Chicago this summer, Friday and Saturday, August 2 and 3. The program as to subjects and leaders has not been set up but details will follow in later bulletins. These sessions will be open to anyone interested in the Urantia Book.

The annual meeting of the General Council of the Urantia Brotherhood has been set for Sunday, August 4, at 10 a.m. Formal notification will be given to council members.

The Domestic Extension Committee has recently sent gift books to the following public libraries: Chillicothe, Ohio; San Francisco, Calif.; Winnetka, Ill.; Dover, Delaware; and Providence, Rhode Island. Gift books also went to college libraries as follows: Mackinac College, Mackinac Island, Mich.; Berea College, Berea Ky.; University of Texas, Austin, Texas; University of Washington, Seattle, Wash.; and the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pa.

We are again happy to announce that another reader has joined our Brotherhood by becoming a member-at-large, and that is Mrs. Arlene Brasher of Detroit, Michigan.

At its annual meeting on Dec. 12, 1967, the First Urantia Society of Oklahoma elected the following officers: Charlene Morrow, President; Frankie Goodman, Vice President; B. Tolention, Secretary; and Marjorie Sawyer, Treasurer.

On March 27 the Urantia Brotherhood School will resume its seminars every Wednesday night at 7:30 for 9 weeks. We will take up our study where we left off last fall, that is, starting with Paper 112, "Personality Survival." These meetings are open to everyone.

In his quarterly report ending December 31, 1967, Mr. Weiss tells us that 100 full sets of the French edition were sold, showing with certainty that the first edition will be sold out in 1968.

Remember to order your copy of "Clyde Bedell's Personal List of References to the Urantia Book." The price is $5.00 and all of the money is applied to the second printing of the Urantia Book.

We have been asked by some readers to have people from headquarters, or other Urantia Brotherhood members, call upon them if they happen to be in their vicinity; other readers may not care to have such calls. If any of you would like to be called upon, please let us know and we will make a note of it, and let you know when somebody will be in your area with whom you might enjoy talking about the Urantia Book.
